Five Cardinals Invited to Attend USA Field Hockey U21 Selection Camp

Bianco, Cicuto, Masters, Wollerton, Wordelmann will attend the Junior USWNT Selection Camp in January

Five University of Louisville field hockey student-athletes were chosen to attend the USA Field Hockey Junior Women's National Team selection camp as announced by the organization following the conclusion of the 2024 Junior and Senior Nexus Championship.

Izzy Bianco, Alessia Cicuto, Lauren Masters, Rylie Wollerton and Mary Wordelmann will represent the Cardinals at the camp which will take place in early January. After the first two U-21 training camps, the Junior Eagles training squad will be announced for preparation toward the Junior Pan American Games, a new event for field hockey in 2025, and the FIH Hockey Junior World Cup.

The U-21 USWNT is coming off a second-place finish at the 2024 Junior Pan American Championship and will compete for gold at the 2025 FIH Hockey Junior World Cup (JWC).
