
Shough Selected to the Unitas Award Watch List

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - TYler Shough of the University of Louisville was named to The Johnny Unitas 2024 Golden Arm Award candidates. This season's list acknowledges 63 of the nation's leading quarterbacks, representing all 10 FBS conferences as well as football independent.
The preseason Watch List, semifinalists, finalists, and award recipient are selected by the distinguished Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, and former players. The award annually recognizes the top senior or upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class.Â
Shough, who enters his seventh year, transferred to Louisville in the spring of 2024 and was able to compete in spring practice. In 2023, Shough threw for 746 yards and seven touchdowns, missing time due to an injury. In three seasons at Texas Tech, Shough passed for 2,922 yards and 20 touchdowns. His best season came in 2022 when he threw for 1,304 yards and seven scores.
