Gillotte Named Preseason Walter Camp All-American

LOUISVILLE, Ohio – University of Louisville defensive lineman Ashton Gillotte was named to the 2024 Walter Camp Preseason All-America teams, which was announced on Monday afternoon.
A second team All-America selection in 2023 by various outlets, Gillotte, a senior, is coming off a breakout season last fall. The native of Boca Raton, Fla., earned first team all-conference accolades and was the runner-up for the league's Defensive Player of the Year award. The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder was eighth nationally with 11.0 sacks and recorded 14.5 tackles for loss.
Gillotte was tops among defensive lineman last season with a career-best 45 tackles, while also establishing new career bests with seven tackles against Virginia and 3.0 sacks against Boston College.
The fourth-year player enters his final campaign with 22.0 sacks and 30.5 tackles for loss.
