LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville women's soccer program and head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes have announced the 2024 schedule for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals will play 18 regular season matches and two exhibitions with 12 of them coming at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.
The 2024 season will welcome new members Cal, Stanford and SMU to the Atlantic Coast Conference. Louisville will face two of the three new members this season, with both matchups coming at home. The Cardinals will face off against two of the four teams that reached the Final Four in last season's NCAA Tournament.
The Cardinals will have two exhibition tune ups prior to the season starting. They will play Butler at home on August 4 and then Eastern Kentucky on the road on August 8. Louisville will open the 2024 season with crosstown foe Bellarmine at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium on August 15. The Cardinals are 6-0 all-time against Bellarmine and it will be the first matchup between the two teams since 1994.
It will be the first of three-straight home games to begin the season. Louisville will face UAB on August 18 and then New Hampshire on Aug. 22. The Cardinals have won three of the last four matchups against the Blazers and it will be the first meeting all-time between Louisville and New Hampshire.
The first two road matchups of the season will have the Cardinals travel north up I-71. Louisville will face off with Northern Kentucky in Highland Heights on August 25 and then Cincinnati in the Queen city on August 29. Louisville has won the previous two matchups with Cincinnati and it will be the first time the two teams have met since the 2013 season. The Cardinals are 3-0-1 all-time against Northern Kentucky.
Another three-game homestand is on deck for the Cards and it begins with a matchup against Evansville on September 1. Up next will be a game against UT-Martin on September 5 and it will close out with Dayton on September 8.
