
Three Cardinals Named to All-Region Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Three University of Louisville men's golfers were named to the PING Midwest Division I All-Region team, the GCAA announced on Saturday morning,
Max Kennedy, Sebastian Moss and Cooper Claycomb all earned honors after leading their team to NCAA Regional action. The Cardinals finished in 11th place in the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional.Â
Max Kennedy, who was recently selected to the International Arnold Palmer Cup Team, has been the team's most consistent performer all season, posting four finishes in the top 10, including a win at the General Hackler Championship, where he carded a score of eight-under-par. He owns a 72.25 stroke average, which is second on the team, and has recorded 14 rounds of even-par or better this year.
Sebastian Moss, who was named All-ACC, has emerged this year with a team best 71.75 average and became the first player in school history to win back-to-back tournaments when he won the Bearcat and Rod Myers Invitational earlier this fall with combined scores of 23-under-par.
In his first season with the Cardinals, Cooper Claycomb has totaled four top-15 finishes, with the career best third at the General Hackler Championship after shooting 6-under-par.Â
Both Moss and Claycomb will return for the 2024-25 season next year.
