Cards Hold in 11th Place after Two Rounds at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional

BATON ROUGE, La. – The No. 8-seeded University of Louisville men's golf team shot 13-over-par 301 to remain in 11th place after two rounds at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional at LSU's University Club on Tuesday. The Cardinals equaled their 301 team total from Monday's first round.
The top five finishers from six NCAA regional sites advance to the NCAA Championships set for May 24-29 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
For the second-straight day, Virginia holds the overall lead at 6-under-par despite shooting a 2-over-par on Tuesday. Auburn remains in second place at 1-under-par, while Texas Tech, Duke and Ohio State round out the top five. The Cards are 19 shots off the line of advancement.
Sebastian Moss had the top round for the Cards, shooting an even-par 72 to remain in the top 20. The junior recorded three birdies on No. 15 and No. 1-18, but was victimized by a double bogey on No. 7 and one more bogey on his front nine. He enters the final round in a tie for 16th place.
Max Kennedy is tied for 27th after his round of 76, while Cooper Claycomb moved into a tie for 55th place after he shot a 1-over-par 73 after his round of 80 on Monday. Easton Johnson and Patrick Keeling each shot 80 on Tuesday to finish 57th and in a tie for 65th, respectively.
Louisville, Lipscomb and Yale will start the third round at 10:25 a.m. ET from the tenth tee. Live scoring of the event is online at Golfstat.com.
