Moss and Claycomb Propel Cards into a Tie for Sixth at ACC Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Cooper Claycomb and Sebastian Moss combined to shoot 7-under-par to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team into a tie for sixth place after two rounds of the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Golf Championship at the Charlotte Country Club.
Collectively, the Cardinals carded a 5-under-par 279 to move up two spots in the overall standings at 4-under-par over 36 holes. Louisville is tied with Virginia and Clemson for sixth place.Â
North Carolina continues to pace the field, while Florida State is in second place and Georgia Tech has dipped into third place.
The duo of Claycomb and Moss combined for just two bogeys over their two rounds to sit in a tie for fifth and ninth, respectively, heading into Sunday's final 18 holes.
Moss paced the Cardinals with a 4-under-par 67 with two birdies on the front nine and three more on the back to enter the final round three shots off the lead.
Claycomb recorded four birdies on the day and is four shots back of the leader.
Max Kennedy is tied for 47th after shooting a 2-over-par 73, while Easton Johnson shot a 77 to sit in a tie for 55th. Andrew Tan was substituted into the lineup and shot an even-par 71.
The Cardinals will be paired with Notre Dame and Clemson for the final round, beginning at 8 a.m.
