Cards Tied for First Place after One Round at the General Hackler Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Max Kennedy shot 68 to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team into a tie for first place after the first round of the General Hackler Championship at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club on Monday in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Collectively, the Cards are tied with Chattanooga for the top spot with a 2-under-par 286 to sit in a tie with Chattanooga after the first 18 holes of play.
The Cards will be paired with East Tennessee and Chattanooga on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. East Tennessee is in third place just one shot off the lead. College of Charleston and North Carolina-Wilmington are tied for fourth.
Kennedy enters the second round in a tie for third place after shooting 4-under-par to sit just one shot off the lead. The senior recorded seven birdies for his round, notching three on the front and four on the back nine as he looks for his second consecutive top-10 finish.
Cooper Claycomb is tied for sixth after carding a 2-under-par 70. He was steady for most of the day, registering three birdies and one bogey. Easton Johnson is tied for 22nd place after his round of 73.
Patrick Keeling, Sebastian Moss and Clay Pendergrass are all tied for 47th after shooting 75 on Monday.
