LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 4-0 to No. 43-ranked Notre Dame Sunday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

Louisville dropped the doubles point when ND's Akari Matsuno and Carrie Beckman rolled 6-1 at No. 3 over UofL's Berta Miret and Ibifuro Clement. The point was clinched at the No. 1 slot when UofL's Jamilah Snells and Lillian Mould fell 6-4 to Page Freeman and Julie Andreach.

In singles, UofL's Allie Gretkowski was the first to fall, with Akari Matsuno prevailing 6-0, 6-3. Cardinal Jamilah Snells fell 6-0, 6-4 to Julie Andreach at No. 1 before the clinching point came from the No. 3 slot as Germany Davis was beaten 6-4, 6-0 by Bojana Pozder to give the Irish the 4-0 win.

The Cardinals continue ACC play next Friday when they host Miami before a Sunday matchup with Florida State.
