Cards Place Four on Podium on Second Day of ACC Indoor Championships

The Louisville men sit in first place as a team with 43 points heading into Saturday.
BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Louisville track & field teams earned a quartet of top-three finishes on the second day of the ACC Indoor Championships in Boston, putting the men's squad in first place in the team standings heading into the final day of competition.
The duo of Brion Stephens and Trey Allen continued to stake their claim as two of the best high jumpers in the ACC and NCAA, as both posted final clearances of 2.21m (7-3) to give Stephens a runner-up finish in the men's high jump, while Allen finished in third.
Jeremiah Willis also earned a second-place spot on the podium in the men's long jump, leaping to a mark of 7.75m (25-5.25) on his first attempt of the competition.
For the second straight season, Paul Kallenberg earned First Team All-ACC honors in the men's heptathlon, accumulating a total of 5,688 points to place third overall. Over the seven-event heptathlon, the junior finished among the top-five marks in the field in four events, including tying for the best pole vault mark with a final bar of 4.87m (15-11.75).
On the track, Kiyah Yeast blazed to a personal-best time of 7.42 in the 60m preliminaries to punch her ticket to tomorrow's finals after also moving on to the 200m finals on Thursday evening.
The final day of the ACC Indoor Championships will begin tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. with the men's triple jump, while track events will begin at 12:00 p.m. with the finals of the men's mile. Competition will be streamed live on ACCNX.
