Lacrosse Meets With Media at Spring Sports Media Day

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville women's lacrosse head coach Scott Teeter, fifth-year midfielder Nicole Perroni, and senior goalkeeper Sara Addeche met with the media on Tuesday afternoon.

Nicole Perroni returns for her fifth year with the Cardinals after being named to the All-ACC Second Team in 2023, the first All-ACC Honors of her career. Last season, the graduate midfielder leads the Cards in points (45), goals (37), shots (91), shots on goal (68), and caused turnovers (29), ranks second in draw controls (51) and free-position goals (10), and ranks third in ground balls (31) and assists (8).
Sara Addeche dominated at the net in 2023. Recording 153 saves through 17 games and a .445 save percentage, Addeche was named the ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Feb. 13 for the first time in her career. The Massachusetts native has paved her way into Cardinals' history. Her career goals against average (13.11) moves her to seventh on the list. Addeche is sixth in Cardinals' history in number of saves with 196 and sixth with a .396 career save percentage.
The Cardinals will begin their season with a pair of games up north, at Denver and at Colorado. Louisville opened up their 2023 season against Denver, falling 4-5 but upset No. 25 Colorado, 12-5 in game two of the season.
The first home game will take place on Feb. 16 against Marquette. The Golden Eagles finished No. 20 in the 2023 season.
