Fifteen Cardinals Earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Fifteen University of Louisville softball players have been named Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athletes as announced by the organization.
The national award recognizes student-athletes who achieved a 3.5 or better GPA during the 2022-23 academic year.
The Louisville honorees include: Sam Booe, Hannah File, Mia Forsythe, Paige Geraghty, Sarah Gordon, Maddi Grant, Cassie Grizzard, Daisy Hess, Easton Lotus, Vanessa Miller, Elana Ornelas, Korbe Otis, Taylor Roby, Madison "Pickle" Winkler and Alyssa Zabala.
Overall, the Cardinals posted a collective mark of 3.699 in the 2022-23 academic year, standing 13th among all NCAA Division I programs. Louisville's 3.609 spring term GPA marked the 36th straight semester with a collective GPA of 3.0 or higher - a streak dating back to the fall of 2005.
The Cardinals also achieved some outstanding individual accomplishments with three Dean's Scholars posting a 4.0 GPA. Additionally, 19 softball student-athletes will be named to the Athletic Director's honor roll after posting a mark of 3.0 or better in the spring semester.
