Outfielder Chelsea Mack joins the Cardinals after one season at Kentucky
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville softball coach Holly Aprile has announced that Chelsea Mack will join the Cardinals after playing one season at the University of Kentucky.

Mack, a rising sophomore outfielder from Brecksville, Ohio played in 39 games and scored six runs with eight stolen bases in her first collegiate season, helping the Wildcats to an NCAA Regional appearance.

Prior to her time at Kentucky, Mack built an impressive resume while playing for Brecksville High School and the Beverly Bandits. The outfielder was named the 2022 New Balance Golden Shoe Award winner, after establishing the Ohio High School record for stolen bases with 81 in 83 attempts.

Additionally, Mack led the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I with a .726 batting average and 57 runs scored en route to earning the OHSAA Division I batting title. She finished her senior season with 13 doubles, a triple and two home runs, 32 RBIs and a 1.650 OPS.

The two-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American and three-time All-State honor also garnered back-to-back Cuyahoga County and Suburban Leagues Player of the Year honors in 2021 and 2022.She was also successful in the classroom as a three-time NFCA Scholar Athlete.

While playing for the Bandits, Mack registered a .462 batting average with 54 hits, 36 stolen bases and 36 runs.
