
Plumb Earns CSC Academic All-America Honors

Aimee Plumb becomes the fifth Academic All-American in program history
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville field hockey student-athlete Aimee Plumb has been named to the 2022-23 Academic All-America® Women's At-Large third team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) and announced on June 21.
She becomes the fifth player in program history to earn the honor (formerly CoSIDA All-America) and the first since the 2021-20 season when Meghan Schneider was named to the first team.
Plumb, a two-time National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America honoree, is also the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Scholar Athlete of the Year and was named the NFHCA Scholar Athlete of the Year for the second straight season. The rising senior from Canterbury Kent, England has maintained a 4.0 career grade point average while majoring in psychology and with minors in art and Spanish. Plumb is also a three-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction is also three-time All-ACC Academic Team selection and NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad Member.
In the 2022 season, Plumb earned her second-straight NFHCA All-America honor after leading Louisville in scoring with a career-best eight goals, seven assists and 23 points. Five of her eight goals stood as game winners, ranking third in the ACC in that category.

The UofL field hockey team registered a 12-8 overall record after earning its fourth-straight NCAA tournament bid. The Cardinals were ranked No. 12 in the final NFHCA Coaches Poll after spending the entire season in the top 15 and reaching as high as No. 4 in the 2022 campaign.
