
Women's Golf Names Addie Baggarly Assistant Coach

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's golf head coach Whitney Young has announced that former SMU assistant coach and five-year collegiate golfer Addie Baggarly has been named assistant coach for the Cardinals.
With five years of NCAA Division I golf experience, Baggarly played four seasons at the University of Florida and one season at Baylor from 2017-2022. In her final season, she was named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team, finishing second at the Big 12 Championship. She is a two-time All-SEC honoree and a member of the 2018 SEC All-Freshman team.
While at Baylor, Baggarly started seven of the Bears' nine events in the spring of 2022. She collected a top-five, two top-10, and three top-25 finishes while averaging a 73.83, 26th in program history. She finished tied for 19th at the Stillwater Regional and tied for 81st at the NCAA Championship.
Baggarly was an instant impact player upon her arrival at Florida in 2017, starting all but one event her freshman year. She won a share of her first collegiate title at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship during her sophomore season. She finished in the top-25 in five tournaments her junior year and was ranked No. 36 in the country at the end of the season. She concluded her final season at Florida with two top-25 finishes.
She competed in the 2021 Augusta Women's Amateur and the 2021 US Women's Open.
While at SMU, Baggarly helped lead the Mustangs to an 11th place finish at the NCAA Championship, marking the program's best finish since 1986. The Mustangs also won their first conference title since 1992. She mentored two WGCA Honorable Mention All-Americans, Mackenzie Lee and Yunxuan (Michelle) Zhang, during her time with the Mustangs.
