
Plumb, Schneider, Tremonti Earn CSC Academic All-District At-Large Honors

Aimee Plumb, Katie Schneider and Minna Tremonti named to CSC Academic All-District At-Large team
LOUISVILLE, Ky. –University of Louisville field hockey student-athletes Aimee Plumb, Katie Schneider and Minna Tremonti were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large team.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.Â

Plumb, who recently completed her junior year, takes home her second straight Academic All-District honor. The 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey and National Field Hockey Coaches Association Scholar Athlete of the Year has maintained a 4.0 career grade point average while majoring in psychology and with minors in art and Spanish. The three-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction is also three-time All-ACC Academic Team selection and NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad Member.
• In the 2022 season, the Canterbury, Kent, England native earned her second-straight NFHCA All-America honor after leading Louisville in scoring with a career-best eight goals, seven assists and 23 points. Five of her eight goals stood as game winners, ranking third in the ACC in that category.Â

Schneider, an ACC Postgraduate Scholarship recipient, is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Teaching (Early Education) after earning her bachelor's degree in communication with a minor in psychology in May 2022. She is a four-time NFHCA Academic Squad selection and earned NFHCA National Scholar of Distinction honors in 2018. She was also awarded the 2022 Go Teach Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway.
• In 2022, Schneider completed her collegiate career in 2022 after tallying 25 goals, five assists and 55 points. The forward and 2022 team co-captain San Diego, Calif., helped the team to four straight NCAA tournament bids including the program's first quarterfinal showing and Final Four appearances as well as back-to-back ACC regular season titles in 2020 and 2021, earning All-ACC second team honors in 2021.
Tremonti, earns the honor after completing her bachelor's degree in psychology with minors in biology and public health in May. The four-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction, and national academic team member and has been named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll in each of her seasons at Louisville.
• The Ann Arbor, Michigan native will return for her fifth season in 2023. She has been in the Cardinals' starting lineup in each of her four years and delivered her first career goal against Longwood in 2019 and dished out assists against Michigan and Duke in 2020. The midfielder was named to the USA Field Hockey Under 21 team in 2020.

The UofL field hockey team registered a 12-8 overall record after earning its fourth-straight NCAA tournament bid. The Cardinals were ranked No. 12 in the final NFHCA Coaches Poll after spending the entire season in the top 15 and reaching as high as No. 4 in
the 2022 campaign.
