
Griffiths Closes Out Season at NCAA Regionals

WESTFIELD, Ind. – Carmen Griffiths of the University of Louisville women's golf team finished the 2023 NCAA Regional Championship in 62th place after carding a 14-over-par 230 through three rounds of action.
Griffiths sat in 56th place after the first day of competition where she carded a 4-over-par 76. In round two, the sophomore shot her best round of the tournament at 3-over-par 75. Griffiths closed out the tournament with a 7-over-par 79 in the final round.
With the end of the NCAA Regional Championships, the University of Louisville women's golf team will officially close out their 2022-23 season.
The Cardinals competed in 11 events this season, including Griffiths' individual showing at regionals. As a team, the Cards found themselves in the top 10 seven different times this season with their best finish at third in the Olde Stone Intercollegiate.
The best single-round score of the year for the Cards was seen at the Schooner Fall Classic, where they carded a 2-over-par 282 in round three for an overall season best 11-over-par 851.
Louisville will be graduating three seniors from the women's golf team this season – Agustina Gomez Cisterna, Mairead Martin, and Lauren Thibodeau.
