
Zuska Shoots 6-Under-Par; Cards in 6th at ACC Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Jiri Zuska shot a 6-under-par to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team to sixth place after the first two rounds of the ACC Men's Golf Championships Friday at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, N.C.
As a team, the Cardinals shot at 1-under-par 577 to sit 14 shots behind Georgia Tech, which leads the field by two shots ahead of Wake Forest at 11-under-par. Florida State is third at 4-under-par, Duke is fourth at 3-under-par and Virginia is fifth at even-par. The Cards will be paired with Virginia and Duke for the final round on Saturday morning. Louisville tees off the first hole at 7:30 a.m.
Zuska sits in second place just three shots off the lead behind Michael Breenan of Wake Forest, who leads the way at 9-under par. Zuska, who is in his final season, shot 70-68=138 to post one of his best rounds of the year. In shooting 68 during the second round on Friday, Zuska recorded five birdies on the day, including three in the first five holes.
Max Kennedy continued his run of strong play by sitting in a tie for fourth place after his two rounds at 4-under-par. He opened play with a 69 and followed it up with a 71 to open the third round just five shots off the lead.
Sebastian Moss was the third UofL player to finish in the top 20 after shooting an even round of 144. He fired a 1-under-par 71 during the first 18 holes and a 73 on the second 18.
Mads Roddick is tied for 58th at 11-over-par and Walker Franklin is in 60th place.
