Cards Open Spring Season this Weekend at Trager Stadium

Louisville will host seven teams at Trager Stadium Saturday and Sunday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville field hockey team will open the spring season this weekend at Trager Stadium.

The Cardinals will welcome Ball State, Bellarmine, Indiana, Miami (Ohio), Ohio University, Ohio State, Saint Louis to Trager Stadium for a two-day tournament Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.

Saturday, April 1
10 a.m. – Bellarmine vs. Michigan State
11 a.m. – Ohio University vs. Louisville
12 p.m. – Ohio State vs. Indiana
1 p.m. – Saint Louis vs. Ball State
2 p.m. – Miami (Ohio) vs. Ohio State
3 pm – Ohio University vs. Indiana
4 p.m. – Saint Louis vs. Louisville
5 p.m. – Bellarmine vs. Ball State

About Louisville Field Hockey
The UofL field hockey team registered a 12-8 overall record after earning its fourth-straight NCAA tournament bid. The Cardinals were ranked No. 12 in the final NFHCA Coaches Poll after spending the entire season in the top 15 and reaching as high as No. 4 in the 2022 campaign. Following the season, Julie Kouijzer and Aimee Plumb earned NFHCA All-America honors, marking the eighth straight year the Cardinals have placed at least two players on the All-America teams, a streak which dates back to the 2015 season.
