
No. 20 Louisville Opens ACC Play Against No. 22 Duke, No. 10 North Carolina This Weekend

The Cardinals welcome No. 22 Duke and No. 10 North Carolina to the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on Friday and Sunday respectively
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 20-ranked University of Louisville men's tennis team will open Atlantic Coast Conference play against a pair of ranked opponents this weekend. The Cardinal will play host to No. 22 Duke Friday at 4 p.m. and No. 10 North Carolina Sunday at 1 p.m. Admission is free.

The Cardinals (9-2) bring a 9-2 overall record and four-match win streak into Friday's contest following last Saturday's 7-0 win over Belmont. Louisville stands at No. 20 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings marking the first top 20 ranking since the 2011 season.

Additionally, the Cardinals boast three players in the top 125 singles rankings and a doubles team in the top 15. In singles senior Etienne Donnet earned a career-best ranking of No. 24 and carries a team-best 17-3 overall record with a perfect 10-0 mark in dual matches, splitting time between Nos. 2 and 3. Sophomore Natan Rodrigues stands at No. 44 with a 16-5 overall  singles tally and a 5-2 record at No. 1 singles. Graduate senior Fabien Salle follows at No. 49 and brings a 16-6 overall singles record and a 4-2 dual match mark into the weekend.

The duo of Rodrigues and Salle hold steady at No. 14 with a 20-5 overall record and a 4-1 mark as Louisville's top-seeded team.

- The Tar Heels have three nationally-ranked singles players with No. 29 Ryan Seggerman leading the way. Brian Cernoch stands at No. 72 and William Jansen is No. 112. Additionally, North Carolina boasts four nationally-ranked doubles teams with Brian Cernoch and Ryan Seggerman slotted at No. 16. The pair of Casey Kania and Seggerman at No. 23, Cernoch and Benjamin Kittay at No. 37 and William Jansen and Karl Poling rounding out the ranking doubles teams at No. 56.
