
Cards Head West to Compete at the Prestige

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - – The University of Louisville men's golf team will continue its spring season this weekend at The Prestige on Feb. 20-22, a 54-hole tournament co-hosted by Stanford and UC-Davis at the Greg Norman at PGA West course in La Quinta, California.

The Cardinals opened the spring season two weeks ago by shooting an even-par 280 to finish in fourth place at the Sea Best Invitational at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
Posting the second-best round of the day, the Cardinals closed the tournament at 285-291-280=856 to finish at 16-over-par and just two shots behind third-place Liberty. Florida went wire-to-wire to win the tournament at 14-under-par, while North Florida was second at 9-over-par.
Max Kennedy posted his best overall finish of his by finishing in a tie for fifth place. The native of Dublin, Ireland, shot 68-72-67=207 to finish three shots off the lead. During the final round, Kennedy played a bogey-free round and recorded a trio of birdies.
Sebastian Mass shot an even-par third round of 70 to place in a tie for 17th place. The sophomore finished at 3-over-par after closing the tournament with 71-72-70=213.
Pairings and tee times will be announced prior to play on Monday.
