
Women’s Golf Signs Two to 2024 Class

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville women's golf head coach Whitney Young and her staff are pleased to announce two signees for the 2024 recruiting class. Veronika Exposito (The Woodlands, Texas) and Bailey Burkett (Kansas City, Mo.) are set to join the Cardinals next season.
Expositio is originally from Spain but is coming to Louisville from The Woodlands, Texas where she played high school golf at The Woodlands High School. She is currently ranked 171 on the junior golf scoreboard rankings and is 61 in the junior golf scoreboard rankings for the class of 2024.
She qualified for the 73rd and 74th US Girls Junior Championship. At the 74th championship, she advanced to the match play portion of the tournament and had a hole in one. She won two district titles in 2021 and 2022 and finished in first at the regional championship in 2021 and second in 2022. She won the 2021 Doral Junior Championship, won the Heart of Texas tournament twice (2023, 2021) and tied for first at the Lonestar Girls Invitational in 2022.
Burkett comes to the Cards from Kansas City, Missouri where she played at Liberty High School. She is a two-time Missouri Junior Amateur Champion in 2023 and 2021. She also won the St. Louis Junior Invitational Championship in 2023.
