
Cardinals Finish Fifth at Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate

The Cardinals had four players finish in the Top-20
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Louisville women's golf team finished up the final round of the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate at the Cherokee Country Club Tuesday morning in Knoxville. The Cardinals as a team carded a 2-under-par 282 and finished the tournament fifth overall at 3-over-par 855.
The Cardinals had four total players finish within the Top-20 of the individual leaderboard with Carmen Griffiths leading the way as she finished tied for 10th overall. Griffiths shot a 2-under-par 69 in the final round and finished the tournament at 1-under par 212.
Rylee Suttor finished in a tie for 14th overall at 1-over-par 214 for the tournament. She shot a season-best 68 (3-under-par) in the final round with four birdies on the day. It was the second-lowest round she has shot since she joined the Cardinals for the 2022-23 season.
Hana Ryskova was also tied for 14th overall at 1-over-par 214 for the tournament after she shot a 3-over-par 74 in the final round on Tuesday. Beatriz Barrios finished one shot behind at 2-over-par 215 and was tied for 20th overall. She fired an even-par 71 in the final round for her second round at par or lower for the tournament.
Millie Cottrell shot a 4-over-par 75 in the final round for her best round of the tournament and finished tied for 74th at 21-over-par.
The Cardinals head back to campus before going out for their final tournament of the fall. The Cardinals will head to West Point, Mississippi for The Ally Tournament that begins on Monday, October 23. It will be a three-day tournament and conclude on Wednesday, October 25.
