Louisville Field Hockey Represented at USA Field Hockey 2022 Senior Nexus Championship

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The University of Louisville field hockey program will send four players on the 2022 roster and one former Cardinal to the USA Field Senior Nexus Championship, presented by Osaka Hockey, which will be held at the Virginia Beach Regional Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va. from July 17 to 22.

The program will be represented by current Cardinals Mia Duchars, Mattie Tabor and Jane Ramsay along with incoming freshman Izzy Bianco. Additionally, former UofL standout Carter Ayars (2016-19) will also compete in the event.

Formerly known as the Young Women's National Championship, the Senior NXC is held annually and features 144 elite high school, collegiate and post-collegiate athletes. During the spring and early summer, athletes trialed and trained at one of the seven USA Field Hockey High Performance Centers throughout the country for an opportunity to be selected to the Senior NXC, a step along the Olympic Development Pathway program. All athletes that were previously on the Rise, U-21, Development and Senior U.S. Women's National Team were also included within the selection.
