
Louisville Finishes Sixth and Ninth After Final Day of ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships

DURHAM, N.C. – The University of Louisville track and field team closed out the final day of the 2022 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with two titles, seven All-ACC performances and a school record at Duke's Morris Williams Stadium Saturday in Durham, N.C.
The women's team finished sixth overall with a total of 64 points, while the men placed ninth with 53.
The Cardinals swept the titles in the high jump events. Emily Scott cleared a personal-best and facility-record mark of 1.82m (5-11.5) to win the women's title, while Trey Allen recorded a height of 2.18m (7-1.75) to take the men's gold. Soledad Jean and Luke Nichols also placed sixth and fourth respectively to claim second team honors in the event.
Katie Martin set the school record with a women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.57 seconds to secure second and first team honors.
In the men's 100-meter finals, Sterling Warner-Savage earned second team honors with a sixth-place time of 10.28 seconds. The time is .01 hundreds of a second off the record time Warner-Savage posted in the preliminaries.
Adar Sheere opened the last day of competition with a sixth-place and second-team finish of 57.58m (188-11) in the men's discus throw.
Louisville recorded a total of 17 All-ACC finishes over the three day championships meet, the most since 2018.
The Cardinals who rank in the region's top-48 in their respective events will return to Indiana's Robert C. Haugh Complex to compete in the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds on May 25-28 in Bloomington, Ind.
