Gabriela Leon Named ACC Women's Field Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – University of Louisville women's track and field athlete Gabriela Leon has been named the ACC Women's Field Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday.

This is the second time this season that the redshirt senior has earned the distinction after receiving the honor on March 29.

Leon re-established the women's outdoor pole vault school record with a facility-best and first-place height of 4.57m (15-0) at the Indiana Invitational on April 23. Leon previously set the program record mark this season with a bar of 4.55m (14-11) at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Mar. 26. The Grand Rapids, Mich. native's mark ranks first in the ACC, second nationally and tied for the 14th-best all-time outdoor performer mark in collegiate history. The latest event win marks the second straight for Leon.

Louisville closes out the regular season as hosts of the Clark Wood Invitational from April 29-30.
