Praasterink Punches Her Ticket to NCAAs on Platform

Sneden and Smith final for the men
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville diver Else Praasterink punched her ticket to the 2022 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships after finishing second in platform diving at the NCAA Zone Qualifying meet in Ann Arbor.

Praasterink was the top qualifier when she boarded a 303.05 in prelims and then finished second in the finals after posting a score of 592.05 on the platform.

On the men's side, Logan Smith and Adam Sneden advanced to the finals as well. Smith qualified 17th with a 292.90 and Sneden was 16th with a 294.45. In the finals, Smith finished 17th overall with a 569.50 cumulative score and Sneden was 18th with a 543.55.

In prelims, Kivanc Gur put up a 285.15, Che Stephens posted a 279.55 and Daniel Pinto had a 259.70.

Praasterink will join 15 Cardinal teammates at the 2022 Women's NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships March 16-19 in Atlanta, Georgia at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center.Â
