Cardinals Set to Visit Syracuse and Boston College

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team will head north this weekend when the Cardinals face off against Syracuse on Friday at 3 p.m. and Boston College on Sunday at noon to continue ACC play.
Louisville (8-8, 0-7 ACC) is coming off a close 4-3 loss to Virginia Tech at home on Sunday. The Cardinals' doubles teams all earned wins to clinch the doubles point and Andrea Di Palma and Chelsea Sawyer each won their respective singles matches. Tatiana Simova leads the team in singles with 10 wins and the duo of Simova and Di Palma has won a team-leading nine matches in doubles play. Head coach Mark Beckham is in his 14th season at the helm.
Syracuse (7-8, 1-7 ACC) fell 6-1 to NC State in their previous match on Sunday. The Orange are led in singles play by Polina Kozyreva, who has recorded 11 wins. The pairing of Shiori Ito and Sofia Treshcheva have won five doubles matches and are ranked 58th in the latest ITA doubles rankings. Head coach Younes Limam is in his eighth season leading Syracuse.
Boston College (5-8, 2-6 ACC) is coming off a 6-1 loss to Wake Forest on Sunday. The Eagles will play host to Notre Dame on Friday before welcoming Louisville. In doubles, Maria Aguiar and Laura Lopez led the way with 13 wins and a ranking of 63rd. Aguiar also earned the lone singles win for Boston College against Wake Forest. Nigel Bentley is in his 23rd season at the helm.
