Plumb Earns NFHCA Scholar Athlete of the Year Honors

The University of Louisville's Aimee Plumb was named the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) National Scholar-Athlete of the year as announced by the organization today. She earns the honor along with Katie Larmour and Gianna Glatz from Rutgers
The NFHCA National Scholar-Athlete honor is presented annually to the Division I All-American who earns the highest cumulative grade-point average through the first semester of the current academic year.
Plumb becomes the second straight University of Louisville student-athlete to be named Division I National Scholar-Athlete following Meghan Schneider's selection following the 2020-21 season.

Plumb, a psychology major from Canterbury, Kent, England, is a two-time NFHCA National Academic Squad member and was an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction in 2021. She has been named to the Athletic Director's honor roll, Dean's Scholar and Red & Black Scholar in each of her semesters at Louisville.

The sophomore forward was a 2021 NFHCA All-American third team honoree after tallying a career-high seven goals. The two-time NFHCA All-West Region honoree (2020, 2021) was also named to the 2021 All-ACC first team. She was tabbed ACC Offensive Player of the Week twice in 2021 also earned NFHCA Division I National Offensive Player of the Week honors.

The Cardinals finished the 2021 season ranked sixth in the National Field Hockey Coaches' poll after earning their 10th NCAA tournament bid. The Cardinals posted a 16-4 overall record, matching a school record for wins. Additionally, UofL won the 2021 ACC regular season title after compiling a program-best 6-0 record in league play.
