Trey Allen Takes High Jump at Alex Wilson Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Trey Allen recorded a personal-best height of 2.20m (7-2.5) to take the men's high jump Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational. It marks a team-high third event win in as many meets competed in this season after first-place finishes at the Cardinal Classic and Blazer Invitational.

"It feels good to come back and set a new personal-best after not competing for a month," said Allen. "I feel very excited and confident in my ability to earn better marks at the ACC Championships next weekend and NCAAs in March. I am thankful for the coaching staff's and my teammates' support and for Jesus blessing me continuously"

The first-place height was achieved on his final attempt at 2.20 (7-2.5) before three attempts at 2.24m (7-4.25). The mark ranks tied for ninth nationally entering the weekend.

Louisville opens postseason competition at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 24-26 in Blacksburg, Va.
