LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville plays its first of two straight at home and its first home game in 15 days as the Cardinals face the Miami Hurricanes on Wednesday at 7:04 p.m. ET. UofL will celebrate black excellence in the Louisville community during the game.

Louisville fell 63-57 at ACC co-leader Notre Dame on Feb. 9 as Jae'Lyn Withers led the Cardinals with 20 points and three steals, tying his career scoring high. UofL fought back from a 14-point deficit to take the lead with 6:14 remaining, but Notre Dame pulled away as the Cards made just one of their last nine field goal attempts.

Withers has averaged 9.7 points and 4.4 rebounds over the last seven games while shooting 50 percent from the field (27-54), scoring in double figures in four of those seven (three straight; averaging 15.0 ppg in the last three). He averaged 4.2 points in the first 17 games of the season.

El Ellis has scored in double figures in the last four games, including a career-high 25 vs. North Carolina. He is averaging 11.3 points per game over the last 11 games -- tops for the Cardinals in that stretch while hitting 21-of-51 threes (.412), including 16.5 ppg in the last four.

Miami (18-7, 10-4 ACC), tied for third in the ACC standings, has won four of its last six games, including a 76-72 victory at Wake Forest on Feb. 12 in its last game as Kameron McGusty scored 22 points and Isaiah Wong added 20 for the Hurricanes. Miami is second in the ACC in steals per game (8.7; 30th in the nation) and leads the league in fewest turnovers per game (9.6, sixth in the nation). Miami is No. 68 in ESPN's College Basketball Power Index (BPI), No. 67 by KenPom, No. 70 in the Sagarin Ratings and No. 68 in the NCAA's NET rankings through Feb. 13.

Louisville leads the all-time series against Miami 13-5 (6-0 in games played in Louisville), winning three of the last four meetings and nine of the last 12. In the last matchup, Miami prevailed 78-72 over UofL in Coral Gables (1-16-21) as Carlik Jones led the Cardinals with 25 points and seven assists, while Jae'Lyn Withers added a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Louisville forward Matt Cross played his freshman season at Miami last season, scoring 16 points while making 4-of-6 three-pointers against the Cardinals in last year's matchup.
