Assistant Coach Will Holt Set for U.S. Men's National Team Training Camp

USMNT veteran Will Holt was recently named 2022-23 Roster
University of Louisville assistant field hockey coach Will Holt will continue his career with the USA Field Hockey Men's National Team this week when he travels to Charlotte, N.C. for the team training camp starting on December 1.

Holt was named to the 2022-23 senior roster in September as the USMNT begins training for the 2023 Pan American Games which will be held June 4-11 in Jamaica and serve as a qualifying tournament for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Â

One of the veterans on the current roster, Holt has been a member of the USMNT since 2007. The striker from Camarillo, Calif., has tallied 85 goals in 146 international appearances throughout his career and served as team captain for the USMNT from 2014-17.
He has competed in several international tournaments, helping Team USA to gold medals in the 2018 Hockey Series Open in Salamanca, Mexico as well as the World League Round 1 in 2012 and 2016. He also played in a trio of Pan American Games (2011, 2015, 2019) as well as the Pan American Cup (2009, 2017).

Holt recently completed his first season as an assistant coach at UofL and helped guide the Cardinals to 12 wins while reaching as high as No. 4 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association rankings and earning an at-large bid to the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
