Jiri Zuska posted his fourth top-10 finish of the fall as the University of Louisville men's golf team closed the fall season by tying for fifth at the Williams Cup at the Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, N.C. Collectively, the Cardinals tied for fifth place with Michigan State after shooting a 12-over-par 876 over the two days.  Zuska tied for fifth overall after shooting a 2-under-par 214. He was six-under-par after the first two rounds but closed his fall by shooting a 4-over-par 76 on Tuesday. The senior, who appeared in five events, finished in the top-12 in all his fall tournaments. Max Kennedy carded a 1-over-par 73 to tie for 18th overall, while Chris Francouer ended his first fall with the Cardinals by shooting 75 to finish in a tie for 23rd-place at 4-over-par.Â

OFF-SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
 Senior Jiri Zuska of the University of Louisville was named the named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Golfer of the Month for October. A native of Kladno, Czech Republic,  Zuska had one of the best months in school history, posting three top 10 finishes during the month of October, combining to shoot 14-under-par in those three highly competitive tournaments. Zuska fired a 3-under par 213 to tie for ninth at The Blessings Collegiate Invitational, which included 10 ranked teams. He then shot a 9-under-par 207 at the Bank of Tennessee to finish in a tie for seventh in a field that included five ranked squads. In his third tournament of the month, Zuska finished fifth at The Williams Cup at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, North Carolina, shooting a 2-under-par 214 against a 10-team field that included seven ranked programs. Zuska posted in the top 10 in four of five tournaments and finished the fall with a 69.46 stroke average.Â
NEW CARDINALS
University of Louisville head men's golf coach Ryan Blagg has announced that Andrew Tan has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to continue his education and golf career with the Cardinals starting in the fall of 2022. Tan comes to Louisville from Austin, Texas, where he attends Vandegrift High School and was a two-time team captain and was named the team's Most Valuable Player in consecutive seasons. A three-year letterwinner, Tan registered 11 career top-10 finishes and was a 2020 all-district and all-region honoree. Playing on the Legends Junior Tour, Tan won the 2021 James A. Ragan Memorial by carding a 3-under-par and posted a win in the 2019 event by firing 6-under-par. He also won the 2021 Texas Junior Alliance Invitational after shooting 12-under-par and earned his way on to the Jackie Burke Cup in 2020 and 2021.Â
