Cardinals Finish Third after Final Round of the William Tucker

LOUISVILLE, Ky. –The University of Louisville men's golf team turned in an outstanding performance in the third and final round of the William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday. As a team, the Cardinals shot 8-under par 280 for the final round and moved up five spots to finish third behind Brigham Young and invitational host New Mexico.
Senior Jiri Zuska continued his strong play from the first two rounds to lead the Cardinals with a 5-under par 67 performance on Saturday that resulted in a tie for second place. Zuska shot an eagle on hole No. 18 and birdied on six holes to pace the Cardinals.Â
Graduate transfer Chris Francoeur finished 8th with a 1-under par 71 including three holes on which he birdied. Senior Hugh O'Hare moved 53 spots up the leaderboard to tie for 28th with a 5-under par 67 showing.
Freshman Jackson Brimfield and sophomore Walker Franklin tied at 63rd and 80th respectively.
The next time the Cardinals return to the course will be on Oct. 4 for the Blessings Intercollegiate Invitational at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark.
