Cardinals Sit in Eighth after Two Rounds of the William Tucker

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Jiri Zuska shot a 3-under-par 141 to pace the University of Louisville men's golf team to an eighth place standing after two rounds of the William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Friday.
Collectively, the Cardinals shot 10-over-par during the first 36 holes at the UNM Championship Course which is a par-72 course playing at 7,555 yards. UofL shot a 1-over-par 289 after the first 18 holes but came back with a 9-over-par during the second round of play. BYU leads the tournament at 21-under-par and New Mexico is 11 shots behind the leaders at 10-under-par.
Zuska opened play with a 3-under-par 69 after he recorded six birdies. He followed up his solid round by shooting an even-par 72 to enter the final round in eighth place. Teammate Chris Francoeur is also in eighth place after shooting 71-70=141. Francoeur eagled No. 1 and registered three others birdies during his 1-under-par 71 in the first round.
Jackson Brimfield is tied for 68th after he shot a 7-over-par 152 (75-77), while Walker Franklin carded an eight-over-par 75-78=153 to close his first two rounds in a tie for 74th. Hugh O'Hare is tied for 81st after carding a 74-80=154.
The Cardinals will pair with UNLV for the final round of action, which will begin at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday morning.
