Cards Close Wolverine Invitational in Sixth Place

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Louisville women's golf team opened its 2021 fall schedule by placing sixth after three rounds at Michigan's Wolverine Invitational on Tuesday.
The Cardinals shot 27-over-par (285-293-301=879) during the second day that featured the final 18 holes on the par-71 University of Michigan Golf Course. The Wolverines, hosting a home event for the first time since 2012, won the tournament with a final tally on 1-under-par. Virginia was second and Virginia Tech was third.
Mairead Martin shot a final round 74 to close the tournament in a tie for 14th place after carding a 5-over-par 218, while Hana Ryskova also shot 74 on the final day to close the tournament in a tie for 19th place.
Kendall Griffin, a transfer from LSU, moved up into a tie for 29th place after closing the tournament with a 74. She carded a 72-75-74=221 in his first tournament at UofL. Lauren Thibodeau tied for 43rd place after shooting 71-73-80=224, while Agustina Gomez-Cisterna tied for 47th after shooting 77-68-81=226.
Carmen Griffiths tied for 58th after closing play with a 78-73-79=230.
The Cardinals return to action on Sept. 24-26 at the Mason Rudolph in Nashville, Tenn.
