
Cardinals Tied for Third after Two Rounds at Maui Jim

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville turned in an impressive team performance on Saturday, posting a combined score of 8-under 545 to finish tied for third through the first two rounds at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate, held at the Mirabel Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.Â
Walker Franklin leads all Cardinals with an individual card of six-under through the first two rounds. The sophomore carded a second round of four-under par 66 to enter Sunday tied for sixth. He carded consecutive birdies on holes No. 2 and 3.Â
Sophomore Max Kennedy is tied at 13th place with five-under par 69 and senior Jiri Zuska posted a four-under par 66 on the day to tie for 20th. Graduate transfer Chris Francoeur tied for 27th and carded a birdie on holes No. 9, No. 15 and No. 17.
Freshman Pierce Grieve tied for 38th after posting a 68, while senior Nick Tenuta rounded out the lineup with a one-over par.Â
Georgia Tech remains in first place at 34-under par, while Clemson sits four strokes back in second at 30-under par.Â
The Cardinals will tee off for the final round Sunday morning at 7 a.m., starting on hole one with 10-minute intervals between each group. Â
