Bitting Named ACC Defensive Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Louisville's Alli Bitting was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week in the league's first weekly award honors of the 2021 season.
Bitting, a fifth-year senior from Hummelstown, Pa., helped the Cardinals to a pair of shutouts on the weekend. She was part of a Louisville defense which limited both opponents to a total of eight shots, five of which landed on goal. She also accounted for the game-winning goal against New Hampshire on Sunday.

The fifth-ranked Cardinals (2-0) will return to action when they travel to Princeton, N.J. to face the University of Pennsylvania on Friday and Princeton on Sunday.
