
Adar Sheere Wins National Discus Throw Title in Israel

TEL AVIV, Israel – The University of Louisville's Adar Sheere has won the Discus Throw with a mark of 55.86m/183.3 to claim the Israeli national title on June 14.

Prior to his arrival in Tel Aviv, Sheere competed in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last week in Eugene, Oregon. While there, the sophomore recorded a mark of 52.22m (171-4) to place 10th in his flight and 20th overall finishing as an All-America Honorable Mention. The Givatayim, Israel native concluded an impressive 2021 campaign in which earned his second career appearance in the NCAA Championships after placing eighth at the NCAA East Preliminary Round with a season-best throw of 57.63m (189-1).
He finished sixth in the 2021 ACC Championship to earn all-conference second team honors. His season-best mark of 57.63 (189-1) came in the NCAA East Preliminary Round on May 29. Sheere recorded his career-best collegiate throw of 57.69m (189-3) in the 2019 NCAA East Preliminary Rounds while competing for Memphis.
