Cardinals Post Six Wins on Day Two of Tennessee Relays
April 09, 2021 | Track & Field
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Louisville track and field teams collected six wins, including the men's and women's long jump, and added four top-three finishes on day two of the Tennessee Relays at Tennessee's Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium Friday.
"We had several highlights including wins in both Long Jumps, the men's 100 meter dash, the women's pole vault and the men's discus, I'm excited about the way our squads supported each other today and look forward to seeing our season continue to grow."
The meet will conclude on Saturday with the distance relays.
"My hat goes off to the officials crew that was able to condense the majority of the competition into an overwhelming schedule today," said UofL head coach Dale Cowper. "They put in a long day and it will allow the individual events to avoid large thunderstorms predicted for tomorrow."
