Louisville Hosts No. 29 Virginia Tech on Friday, No. 5 Virginia on Sunday in Final Home Weekend

Louisville, Ky. – After splitting two ACC matches last weekend on the road, the University of Louisville men's tennis team returns home for the final time this weekend to face two Virginia schools. On Friday, the Cardinals will square off against No. 29 Virginia Tech at 1:30 p.m. followed by No. 5 Virginia Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

Scouting the Hokies: No. 34 Virginia Tech enters Friday's match up against the Cards with a 10-7 (5-5, ACC) record. In doubles, the duo of Carl Soderlund and William rank in the top ten (9th) in the nation in the latest ITA national rankings. The head coach of the Virginia Cavaliers is Andres Pedroso.

- Last weekend, No. 50 Louisville defeated Clemson 4-2 and dropped a close match to No. 32 Georgia Tech 5-2, evening their overall record to 9-9 (3-6, ACC) this season.
- This weekend, the Cardinals will wrap up their regular season before beginning play in the ACC Tournament. The ACC Tournament will be held in Rome, Ga. From April 21-25th.
- No. 71 Sergio Hernandez leads Louisville in singles with a 11-4 overall record in dual match play. No. 57 Fabien Salle follows with a 10-2 overall singles record.
- In doubles, the No. 63-ranked duo of Salle and Matthew Fung stand with 9-8 record, last week defeating Clemson's duo of Ryuthei Azuma and Spencer Whitaker 6-3 to push the Cards to victory.
- Tin Chen and Sergio Hernandez have entered the latest ITA doubles rankings sitting at No. 89.
- Sunday will be Senior Day. Graduate student Clement Filho will be recognized as he will be graduating with his Master of Science in Sport Administration degree in May..
