Zuska Shoots 70 During Second Round of the Aggie Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Jiri Zuska fired a second round score of 70 to pace the University of Louisville men's golf team during the second round of action at the Aggie Invitational at the Traditions Golf Club in College Station, Texas.
Collectively, the Cardinals are tied for fifth with Texas Tech at 10-over-par after shooting 6-over-par on Saturday. Texas continues to lead the field by three shots followed by Texas A&M. Oklahoma is third and Baylor is in fourth.
After opening play with a 5-over-par 77 on Friday, Zuska put together one of the best rounds of the day, carding a 2-under-par 70 on Saturday. After registering pars on the first three holes of the day, Zuska responded with three birdies on the next four holes to shoot a 3-under-par 33 on the front. He shot one-over-par on the back thanks to a double bogey on No. 13 to finish at 2-under. He stands in a tie for 16th at 3-over-par after the first two rounds.
Freshman Max Kennedy continues to put together his best tournament of his brief career, sitting in the top five after shooting an even-par 72 on Saturday. He currently is tied for third place at 2-under-par after opening with a 70 on Friday. The rookie recorded at least one birdie on each side to enter the final day six shots off the lead.
After shooting 77 on Friday, Matthias Schmid moved into a tie for 43rd after firing a 2-over-par 74, including even-par round on the front nine. John Murphy and Devin Morley are also tied for 43rd after their Saturday rounds. Murphy shot a 6-over 78 and Morley added a 7-over 79 on Saturday.
