Murfreesboro, Tenn. – The University of Louisville men's tennis team fell 4-0 to host No. 37 Middle Tennessee Friday afternoon 4-0. With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 5-7 on the season, while the Blue Raiders improve to 10-4.

The Cardinals and Blue Raiders split a pair of matches to start out doubles. Matthew Fung and Fabien Salle flew past Pavel Motl and Stijn Slump 6-1 on court one.
Francisco Rocha and Max Rauch defeated Josh Howard-Tripp and Alex Wesbrooks 6-2 on court three.

All eyes went to court two for a match that would decide who would win the point. Tin Chen and Sergio Hernandez kept the score close against Tom Moonen Chris Edge, but fell short 7-5, giving the point to Middle Tennessee.

Trailing 1-0, the Cardinals looked to bounce back in singles, however the Blue Raiders were too strong. Court four finished first with Chris Edge sliding past Howard-Tripp 6-2, 6-3. Shortly after, Middle Tennessee scored once again on court six with Max Rauch defeating David Mizrahi 6-1, 6-3.

The match was clinched for the Blue Raiders on court three with Hernandez falling to Stiji Slump 6-3, 7-5.

Up Next: The Cardinals will travel to Knoxville, Tenn. to face No. 4 Tennessee next Friday at 1 p.m.
