- Louisville finishes the season with a 6-7 record.
- The Cardinals are now 11-12-1 all-time in bowl games.
- The loss is the first for Scott Satterfield as a head coach in a bowl game (was 4-0 previously).
- With Malik Cunningham reaching 1,000 rushing yards, Scott Satterfield has now had a player reach 1,000 yards on the ground for the seventh time in his eight years as a head coach.
- Louisville finished with 402 yards of total offense, the eighth time this season the Cardinals have amassed at least 400 yards.
- The Cardinals did not commit a turnover for the fourth time in the last five games.
- UofL had just 13 turnovers on the season, tied for the second fewest in program history.
- Louisville held Air Force to 170 rushing yards on the day, its lowest rushing total this season.
- QB Malik Cunningham closed out the final game of the season 13-for-21 for 207 yards and a touchdown, with 66 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
- Cunningham became the second Louisville quarterback and 17th UofL player overall to rush for 1,000 yards in a single season.
- Cunningham moved into sixth place on Louisville's career rushing list with 2,622 yards.
- Cunningham moved into a tie for third with Eric Shelton (2004) on Louisville's single season rushing touchdown list with 20.
- Cunningham is the second player in Louisville history to be responsible for 100 career touchdowns (Lamar Jackson – 119).
- RB Trevion Cooley rushed a career high 18 times for 92 yards and his first career rushing touchdown.
- RB Trevion Cooley, WR Ahmari Huggins-Bruce and DB Josh Minkins each made their first career starts.
- RB Jawhar Jordan had his most productive day in a Louisville uniform, rushing six times for 37 yards, pulling in a 24-yard reception, and returning a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown.
- Jordan was the first Cardinal to return a kickoff for a touchdown since Hassan Hall did so against Wake Forest on Oct. 12, 2019.
- It was the first Louisville kickoff return in a bowl game since Jeremy Wright in the 2010 Beef O'Brady's Bowl against Southern Mississippi.
- WR Tyler Harrell finished with a career-high four receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown.
- WR Elijah Downing made his first career catch in the second quarter.
- DL Ashton Gillotte added a sack to give him 4.5 on the season.
- DL Tabarius Peterson played in his 60th career game at Louisville, the most by any player in program history.
- LB Yasir Abdullah registered eight tackles, three for loss, and his 10th sack of the season.
- Abdullah is the first Louisville player with double digit sacks in a season since Devonte Fields had 11 in 2015.
- Abdullah's 17.5 tackles for loss this season and the seventh highest single season total by a Louisville player.
- LB C.J. Avery led the Cardinals with 10 tackles on the day, his third double-digit tackle effort of the season and ninth of his career.
- Avery has 349 career tackles, more than any Louisville player in the last 25 years.
- The 349 tackles are 10th-most all-time at Louisville.
