
Cards Sit in Third Place Following Round One at the Blessings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's golf team finished round one at the 2021 Blessings Collegiate Invitational in third place (303, +15), trailing UCLA, who leads the event at one-over after the first day of play.
The Cardinals were led by Hana Ryskova, who opened her round with a 1-under-par 71 to sit in second place just two shots behind UCLA's Alessia Nobillo, who carded a 69 to take the overall lead. Ryskova notched four birdies and three bogeys for her round on one of the more difficult courses in the nation.
Lauren Thibodeau and Kendall Griffin are tied for 21st place after shooting 77 on Monday. Carmen Griffiths is tied for 28th after shooting a 6-over-par 78, while MAiread Martin is tied for 40th after her round of 80 on Monday.
The Cardinals will tee off at 9:45 a.m. ET on hole No. 10 to begin second round of action on Tuesday/
