
Zuska Two Shots Off the Lead at the Bank of Tennessee

LOUISVILLE, Ky. Jiri Zuska fired a 4-under-par 68 to pace the University of Louisville men's golf team after two rounds of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at the Blackthorn Club at the Ridges in Jonesborough, Tenn., on Monday.

Collectively, the Cardinals fired an 11-par 277 for the second-straight day to sit in second place overall just two shots behind host East Tennessee State. The Bucs hold an advantage at 24-under-par, while the Cards are second at 22-under and Charlotte is stationed in third place at 18-under.

After two rounds, Zuska sits at 8-under-par, which is just two shots behind the leader, Remi Chartier of ETSU. The senior shot a 1-over-par on the front nine but came back strong over the next nine holes by firing a 5-under-par 31, which included an eagle on No. 14.

Pierce Grieve is tied for fifth after his second round 69 to stand three shots off the lead heading into Tuesday's final round. He recorded a team best seven birdies during his round to remain in contention.

Max Kennedy dropped into a tie for 27th place with his round of 73, but Chris Francoeur had the round of the day with a 67 to jump up into a tie for 32nd. Walker Franklin shot a 74 to slip into a tie for 41st place, while Nick Tenuta is tied for 50th after his round of 73.

The Cardinals will look to defend their 2019-20 tournament title on the same course when action begins at 10 a.m. CTÂ on Tuesday, pairing with East Tennessee and Charlotte.
