
Hugh O'Hare Shoots 69 in Spring Season Opener

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Hugh O'Hare fired a career best 69 after the first round of the Camp Creek Championship at Camp Creek Golf Club in Watersound, Fla. The tournament has 10 teams, all from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
It was the first round of the year for all 10 teams, as ACC teams did not compete in the fall due to the pandemic. Â The Cardinals are in ninth place after the first round of action, 19 shots off the lead heading into Monday's round.
Louisville finished with a 295 team total, 7 shots-over-par and three shots ahead of 10th-place Virginia, which shot 298.
Playing as an individual, O'Hare carded four birdies on the day and shot a 3-under-par 33 on the back nine of the tournament. He is tied for sixth overall after round one.
Jiri Zuska and Matthias Schmid are tied for 18th place after shooting even rounds of 72. Zuska and Schmid accounted for nine birdies collectively, with Zuska recording a team best five.
Trevor Johnson is tied for 45th after his 3-over-par 75 and John Murphy is tied for 49th place after shooting a 4-over-par 76. Devin Morley is tied for 52nd after shooting a round of 78.
Louisville will begin the second round on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m.
