Each week we will be sitting down to get to know one of our Louisville rowing student-athlete. This week, we get to know Summer Allen, a freshman from Harrison County, Indiana.Â
Q: Where is your favorite place you have competed?
A: I really liked racing at Romp.

A: Womens Gymnastics

A: Hearing people chew or swallow.

A: I am on a sailing club and I like to windsurf

Q: Besides your own, what is one sport you wish you were really good at?
A: Volleyball

Q: Who is your favorite fictional character?
A: Spiderman
Q: How do you know coming to Louisville was the right decision for you?Â
A: Coming to Lousiville has been a really good decision. My classes have been going great and I have liked all of my teachers. I don't think I would be the person I am today if I didn't go to Lousiville. I have learned great time management, dedication, and I have learned what I need to do to reach my goals. Joinng the rowing team has been amazing and I've leaned so much. I don't regret coming to Lousiville at all.

Q: What is one thing our program has taught you?
A: They have tought me how to push myself to my limits and not to hold back. Even if we are having an off day, we are still expected to push ourselves as hard as we can.

Q: What is your favorite thing about our team/program?Â
A: My favorite part if the team is definitely my teammates. They are support, helful, and always there for you when you need them. Everyone is so friendly and when I first

Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at Louisville?
A: I really enjoy the resources that we get are offered such as our academic counsleors, our treatment facility, our workout facility, and Thortons Academic Center of Excellence.

Q: What do you miss most about being on campus?
A: I really miss seeing my friends. I would always see my teammates when I was out and about on campus.
Â
Q: What are you doing with yourself during your free time?Â
A: I have been working out, doing homework and studying, and watching Netflix. I have also started baking with my sister to pass time.

Q: What's one thing you wish you had with you during this time?
A: I wish I had an erg because I really don't like to run. I also wanted to do another 2k test and I could do that if I had an erg.

Q: How are you continuing to stay in shape during this time?
A: I have been doing running workouts and circuits. I have tried a few Zumba and yoga workouts. I haven't been able to get to an erg, so I'm doing my best to work around that.

Q: How have you and your teammates been keeping in contact?
A: We have definitely been keeping in contact. We snap chat each other a lot. I've been talking to some of my teammates at least once a day.
