Catching up with Nicole Woods
Â
How are you holding up in these times of adversity?
"Staying in the house isn't great but it could be worse my mom has been trying to do her real estate work online, my dad has been doing yard work and getting ready for summer so me my brother and sister have all been killing time working out together and just hanging out. I'm still in classes for my masters online so that gives me some time each day to stay occupied."
Â
What about the conditioning element? How do you stay fit?
"It's not too bad I have most of the stuff I need in terms of working out we have bands, weights, a pull up bar and then we have the stationary bike trainer so I can bike rather than running on concrete. The biggest adjustment is trying to take the workouts in prescribed and then change them in a way I can work the right muscles but using the weights I have here."
Â
What are you doing as a team to stay in touch and connected?
"As a team we are using zoom meetings a few times a week, and our sports psychologist, Peter, is offering mindfulness via video chat twice a week as well."
