UofL had three match-points before falling 4-3
LOUISVILLE, Ky -- The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 4-3 to Wichita State on Saturday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. With the loss, the Cardinals drop to 8-5 on the season.

Louisville clinched the doubles point with a win at No.3 by Nikolina Jovic and Dina Chaika, who defeated Alexandra Lazarova and Natsumi Kurahashi 6-2. UofL clinched the point when the No. 2 pair of Raven Neely and Maia Haumueller downed Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva and Ting-Ya Hsu 6-3.

Cardinal Raven Neely was the first to fall in singles, bowing out to Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva 6-3, 6-3. Nikolina Jovic bounced the team back by defeating Alexandra Lazarova 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 just before her teammate Dina Chaika fell 6-0, 6-4 to Ester Thebault at No. 4. Andrea Di Palma blew by Marta Bellucco 7-6, 6-2 at No. 3 before No. 6 Ting-Ya Hsu knocked off Maia Haumuller 7-5, 7-5 at No. 6. Wichita State's Lingwei Kong clinched the match at No. 2 over Rhea Verma 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.

The Cards will return to action on Sunday, March 8 at 12 p.m. against Notre Dame.
